Padden Trails Hearings

Notice is hereby given that the Bellingham City Council will hold 2 public hearings on Monday, March 12, 2012 @ 7:00 PM,or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, Washington,to take public comment on the following:

1) Consideration of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezone of 113 acres of property generally located in Areas 5 and 6 of the Samish Neighborhood, between I-5, Padden Lake Park, and Padden Creek. The applicants request to change the zoning and land use designations from Single Family, 20,000 square foot density to Residential Multi, Planned, 10,000 square foot density. Applicant: Free Spirit Enterprises, LLC. Owner: Padden Trails, LLC.

2) Consideration of a Development Agreement associated with a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezone of 113 acres of property generally located in Areas 5 and 6 of the Samish Neighborhood, between I-5, Padden Lake Park, and Padden Creek. The applicants request to change the zoning and land use designations from Single Family, 20,000 square foot density to Residential Multi, Planned, 10,000 square foot density. Comment received after that time will be distributed to Council but not included in the published meeting materials.

FOR OUR CITIZENS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, the Council Chambers is fully accessible. Elevator access to the second floor is available at City Hall’s west entrance. Hearing assistance is available and a receiver may be checked out through the clerk prior to the evening session.
